There’s a love language that doesn’t trend online, but it keeps relationships alive.

We often talk about love languages; such as words of affirmation, acts of service, quality time, gifts, and touch. But there’s one unspoken love language that holds per every relationship together.

It’s not as flashy as romantic dates or sweet text messages, yet it’s what makes love feel like home. It’s called Emotional Safety.

Emotional safety means being in an atmosphere where you are able to open up without fear of judgment.

It’s when you can express your fears, dreams, and insecurities and your partner listens instead of using them against you later.

It’s when you don’t have to walk on eggshells or edit yourself just to keep the peace in your relationship.

Without emotional safety, love becomes performance, and a really difficult one.

You start to hide and suppress how you feel and what you want to say. You pretend and put up a persona that you think that your partner wants to see.

You overcompensate for any weakness or deficiencies that you see in the relationship whether it is you who need to change or not.

BUT….
When emotional safety is present, love becomes real, deeper, freer, and more fulfilling. You can finally exhale because you know you’re seen, heard, and accepted by the one that care about and who you believe cares for you.

The truth is, emotional safety isn’t built by partners that are perfect; it’s built by partners who value consistent efforts in honesty, empathy, and mutual respect.

It’s choosing to talk to each other, not at each other. It’s choosing to understand before defending. It’s building trust

So, if you’re praying for love, don’t just pray for chemistry or butterflies pray for safety.Because real love doesn’t make you anxious, it makes you feel secure.

Emotional safety is the love language that doesn’t trend online, but it’s the one that keeps relationships alive offline.
